About the Team

I am a Fully Certified Classical Pilates instructor and the owner of Pilates School of Movement. I am also an Arts & Literature Major, and a fully committed adventurer. I discovered Pilates as a consequence of my migraines in my teens, and as days passed by I fell in love with how it made me feel. I was stronger, more flexible, and especially, more connected. I could enjoy my other passions and life more. There is a beautiful consequence to this: when one person feels good, they smile to the world. I became a Pilates instructor because I had a mission: teaching so people could feel better, healthier, and in an amazing mood. I’ve been lucky to study with the best (including Elders like Jay Grimes, Lolita San Miguel, and Mary Bowen), and I feel inspired to share what I’ve learned in this bright, open and welcoming space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Group Pilates sessions offer a dynamic and supportive environment where participants can enjoy the benefits of Pilates in a communal setting. Working out in a group fosters a sense of community and motivation, encouraging participants to stay committed. You are welcome to join us at any class described as Level 1 or Beginners. Arrive 5 minutes prior so you can explain to your teacher any conditions you may have or goals you’d like to achieve. For your own safety, please do your best to arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, teachers may deny you access to the class and charge it as a no-show. Privates are requested for anyone with a specific condition that may prevent them from following a full workout (hip, shoulders or back problems, for example). These classes are specifically designed to your own needs and capacities. The rhythm will also be adjusted to provide you the right amount of time to work and rest the muscles. Privates are also advised for everyone who needs to deepen their own personal experience in the apparatus. They are fun sessions where you can explore new moves that might not be suitable for a group class. Please make sure to arrive 5 minutes before the class. If you are just a few minutes late for your Private, the teacher will respect the scheduled hour and finish on time. If you are more than 15 minutes, the teacher may reserve the right to skip the session and charge it as a no-show.
We provide all the equipment, so just bring yourself, a bottle of water, and a smile! Comfortable, not baggy gym attire is recommended, with no zippers or accessories. Wear a pair of clean socks, as no shoes are needed.
Please be aware that all appointments and classes are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. You can easily manage you cancellation by using this App. Reservations not canceled 24h prior will be charged the full price of the lesson.
Which Level Am I? Level 1 or Beginner is the starting point to an amazing ride. We lay here the blocking foundations for you to understand the Pilates Method, the equipment, and, most importantly, your own body. This is where we focus on developing the technique and the reasons for each move. We kindly ask first time clients to join the Beginner class as it also gives us the opportunity to get to know you and give you options and modifications. Level 2-3: Having built up from Level 1, we start reaching for the core of Pilates (Level 3). Each class we add new moves and layers that will enable you to safely perform more advanced exercises. Level 2 is a fun bridge from Beginners to Intermediate where we continue to develop each move. Level 3 is where experienced students (a minimum of 6 continuous months would be advised) would start becoming more independent and feeling more courageous to aim for more. Level 4 and Beyond: An Advanced student is one who knows the choreography of each move, the sequence of the repertoire, the set up of the equipment, and the concept behind Contrology (the original name of the Pilates Method). What are other things to consider? The studio is an open, bright, and welcoming space where we expect to provide everyone with a time to enrich their mind-body connection. Please leave your phone in one of the lockers provided. Photos cannot be taken unless authorized. Be respectful towards yourself, the class, and the instructor. Don’t push your body beyond its current limit. You will get better every time. Keep an open mind on different approaches and discoveries. Be positive and talk openly about any questions or doubts you may have. We are here to support you on your path!
We want to see our students grow from beginners to advanced. With time, Pilates will change the relationship between your body, mind, and spirit, and give you tools to enjoy life to the fullest. To achieve this, we teach he the Classical Pilates Method and we use Gratz Pilates equipment, which is renowned for its adherence to the original designs created by Joseph Pilates. By teaching small groups, our instructors can provide more individualized guidance and corrections; this helps ensure that each participant performs exercises correctly, which is crucial for achieving desired results and preventing injuries.
